On Tuesday, September 14, 2021, Linda Davies, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 82. Linda was born on June 10, 1939 in Michigan and later relocated to Louisiana with her husband, James Davies. Linda was a dental assistant for many years in Baton Rouge, a talented pianist, and a devoted Christian. She enjoyed tennis, reading, and gardening and was known for her compassionate spirit, love of coffee, infectious smile, and gift of hospitality. Linda was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister. She is survived by a brother (Jeff), her husband James of 66 years, and her four children, Jim (Janet), Dawn (Rickey), Brad (Nise’), and Becky (Ricky). She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Cody (Chellie), Caleb, Kali, Philipa (Jaco), Benjamin (Molly), Joshua (Katherine), Katie (JD), Matt (Brooke), Justin (Samantha), Jessica (Lucas), and 17 great-grandchildren, each who held a special place in her heart. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 20th, 2021 at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA from 1-2 PM, with a service to immediately follow. The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Our Daily Bread, an organization that had a profound impact on Linda.
