Kathryn Hansen Sullivan

Kathryn Hansen Sullivan passed away March 7, 2022. She was born on November 3, 1938 to Robert and Elizabeth Hansen in Tulsa, OK.

She attended Newcomb College in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was here she met her future husband, Edmund H. Sullivan M.D. They moved to Baton Rouge in 1966 where she raised her family and was involved in a variety of volunteer activities.

She was a lifelong learner who enjoyed taking classes on a wide range of subjects. Her love of learning and curiosity was also reflected in the joy she gained from her extensive travels abroad.

She was a loving, joyful, and truly kind person who created beauty for those she surrounded.

She is predeceased by Edmund H. Sullivan, her husband of 43 years.

She is survived by her daughter Kathryn (Betsy) Lee and her daughter Susan S. Baker and son-in-law Tracy H. Baker of Cary, NC; her brother Robert F. Hansen Jr.; grandchildren Cullen H. Baker, Claire E. Baker, Sean P. Baker, Kristen L. White, Meghan L. Kurtz; and her great-grandchildren Tristan H. and Wesley J. Kurtz.

The family wishes to express their profound gratitude to Sonya Fletcher for her tender, loving care and support. She will be interred at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Hospice of Baton Rouge with deep appreciation for their services.
