Judith Austen “JuJu” Waguespack, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away Tuesday January 3, 2012 at the age of 68. She was a graduate of Our Lady of The Lake School of Nursing and retired years later as a registered nurse. Judith was a member of the Down Syndrome Awareness Group, and she enjoyed going to the movies, reading, needlepoint, and spending time with her family. Judith was the greatest mother ever, dearly loved daughter and sister, and her true joy was spoiling her grandchildren. She will be truly missed by many. She is survived by her three sons, Richard “Ric” Waguespack Jr. and wife Beverly Hebert Waguespack, Toby Jude Waguespack and wife Kourtney Kelly Waguespack, and Zachary Rivers Waguespack; three sisters, Geralyn Penn, Susan Connelly, and Cynthia Mayeaux; one brother, Henry Austen; five grandchildren, Jennifer “Gwyn” Waguespack, Rori Jaryn, Jyllian Hollie, Jayden Kayde and Jensyn Lee; one great grandchild, Vic Knopp; and lifelong friend, Ellen Klingman Couvillion. She is preceded in death by her parents Jones and Ruth Austen; and one son, Rory Jones Waguespack. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday January 7, 2012 from 9am until service at 12pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
