Juanita Lynette Sanchez, age 68 and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, La, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on Wednesday, January 25, following a courageous battle with cancer. She enjoyed working in her yard, LSU football and had an enormous heart for animals and children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jacqueline “Jackie” Sanchez and her sister Connie Sanchez Cali. She is survived by her son, Paige Russell (Lori); her siblings Sherry Duplessis (Leo) and Robert Sanchez (Denise); her grandchildren Gavin, Anna and Troy; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Florida Blvd on Wednesday, February 1 from 4Pm-8PM. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to Hokie’s Hounds Beagle Rescue in Prairieville, La.
