John Jason Leonard

John “Jason” Leonard, native of New Roads, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the age of 43. Jason enjoyed his dogs Gator and Lil Man, hunting and fishing, shooting billiards with friends, and cooking and spending time in his backyard. Jason is survived by his wife of 14 years Valerie Leonard; mother, Beverly Leonard; sons, John Alexander Leonard and Trey Hebert; grandson, Caleb Hebert; siblings, Veronica Leonard Mix and husband, Michael, Kim Marie Leonard, and Mark Leonard and wife, DeEtte; brother-in-law, Patrick Glaze; mother-in-law, Jaime Glaze; Uncle J.S. Gonzales and wife, Eva; Aunt Florence Wells and husband, Buddy; Uncle Pete Leonard and wife, Laura; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Dudley Leonard; father-in-law, Doyle R. Glaze. Pallbearers will be Mark Leonard, Ethan Leonard, Pete Leonard, Michael Mix, Trey Hebert, and Patrick Glaze. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Alexander Leonard, Logan Mix, Sydney Leonard, Nicole Glaze, Benjamin Quiles, and Phillip Callihan. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, August, 14, 2014 from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Dr. El Hajj, Dr. Richard, the MICA Unit, the RN’s, and the Aides at Our Lady of the Lake; and Cynthia Davila and Amanda Widmeier.
