John Maurice Allen Jr.

A resident of Baton Rouge, he was born in Henderson, NC on Aug. 3rd, 1938 to John Maurice Allen Sr., and Alice Falkner Allen, and died peacefully on Sept. 29th, 2022. He was 84 yrs old. He is survived by his sons John Maurice Allen III, and Robert S. Allen. (Daughter in law) Patti Allen. (Grandchildren) Robert Max Allen, and Lucy Rae Allen. (Sister) Martha Riggan. (Nephews) Allen Riggan, Barry Howell. (Niece) Genie Faulkner. He leaves behind his partner of 22 years Phyllis Nola. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his late sister Eugenia Howell. Maurice graduated from Henderson High School in 1956. He attended Hargrave Military Academy for 1 year, and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1959. He was a graduate of East Carolina Univ., and was a member of the Pirate football team. Maurice worked in Orthopedics as an administrator for over 40 years.
