A resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he passed away on May 23, 2016. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and retired from Financial Advisor&Consultant, Inc. as President and CEO. Survived by his fiancée', Betty J. Hobbs and a sister, Janice Ann Thomas LaGrone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eads P. and Virginia King Thomas, a brother, Gerald Lee Thomas, Sr., and a nephew, Michael Thomas, all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University, a Chartered Life Underwriter degree and a Chartered Financial Consultant degree from the American College, a Certified Financial Planning degree from the College for Financial Planning and a Certified Fund Specialist degree from the Institute for Business and Finance. He also served as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor for the College for Financial Planning. He was also a member of the North American Hunting Club and the NRA. He was listed in: Who's Who in Finance and Business -35th Edition, Who's Who in Finance and Industry-33rd Edition, Who's Who in America-64th Edition and Who's Who in the World -22nd Edition. He was a lifetime Christian and a member of First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he had the privilege to serve on the Administrative Board and as an Usher. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Friday, May 27, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until religious services at 9:30 a.m. conducted by Reverend Fernando Riveria, First United Methodist Church, with graveside services to follow at the Thomas Family Cemetery in Talisheek, Louisiana at noon.
