Janet B. Landry passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2021, at the age of 93. She was born on July 12, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, the only child of Andrew J. Bourgeois and Rose O’Connor. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 69 years, Arthur Paul Landry; their four daughters and one son-in-law: Eileen L. Milligan, Jeannette L. Gantt, Joan L. Hill, and Catherine and Nebe Kadair; eight grandchildren: Christopher (and April) Williamson, Matthew (and Jenny) Williamson, Michael (and Farrah) Williamson, Dr. Dustin Hill, Garrett Hill, Thomas Kadair, Stephen Kadair, and Theresa Kadair; and four great-grandchildren: Charley Williamson, Annabelle Williamson, Jax Williamson, and Nina Williamson. Mrs. Landry attended Soulé Business College in New Orleans and worked as a stenographer before attending LSU in Baton Rouge, where she met her wonderful husband-to-be, Art Landry. She was a devout Catholic with a special love for the Blessed Mother, St. Joseph, St. Therese the Little Flower, and Padre Pio. She was a longtime member of St. Thomas More Parish in Baton Rouge. Her family was her main focus in life. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Landry will be greatly missed by her husband and daughters, and all those who knew and loved her. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Blvd., from 12 p.m until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Cemetery, 9595 Florida Blvd. Please visit www.greenoaksfunerals.com to leave condolences to the family.
