James Robert Spell

James Robert Spell (Jimmy) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Jimmy was 53 years old. He was born on March 1, 1965 in Jackson, Mississippi to William H. Spell (Bill) and Barbara Ravelin Spell. Jimmy moved to Baton Rouge in 1968 and has been a resident since. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Louisiana State University. Jimmy is survived by his mother, Barbara Ravelin Spell; Brother, William H. Jr. (Bill) and his wife Sally L. Spell; Sister, Jo Anne and her husband Nick Lambert; Brother, Thomas Lee (Tommy) and his wife Angie Mancuso; niece, Laura Spell and her husband Joseph Anthony Wray; nephew, Brandon Mancuso; and a great-niece, Rylee Wray. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father William H. Spell.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation which will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, La. from 5pm-8pm. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, October 12, 2018, from 10 am until the funeral service begins at 12pm. The service will be conducted by Rev. George Haile. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
