17. Charlotte, his beloved wife of 38 years, was by his side along with Maggie, the little dog he
adored. Kelley was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on September 5, 1947 to Wilson and Evelyn Peck.
Although he lived in Baton Rouge over 40 years, he always considered Lafayette home. He
graduated from Lafayette High School and UL, or USL as it was known then, with a Marketing
Degree. He served in the United States Air Force from 1967 until 1971 where he was stationed at
Lockbourne Air Force base in Columbus, Ohio. Kelley is survived by his wife, Charlotte Berthelot Peck, sons David Peck, Brad Peck and wife Barbara, sister Ginny Peck, grandsons Nathan Peck, Evan Peck, Wes Peck and wife Rachel, granddaughter Megan Peck and partner Melissa Weitzel and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins. Preceded in death by parents Wilson and Evelyn Peck and brother and sister in law Bill and Kay Peck. Kelley held various sales and management positions before joining Konica Minolta where he had a successful 25 year career as District Sales Manager. He was held in high regard by both coworkers and the dealers he called on. It was often said by his associates that he was one of the hardest working and nicest guys around. Kelley loved music and was an accomplished self taught guitarist. He also loved sports, particularly UL football. He was an active member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and played lead guitar in the Praise Band. Kelley and Charlotte loved to travel, their favorite destination being Maui. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2010 and bravely fought the disease for 13 years. His faith in God never wavered despite the many obstacles Parkinson’s placed in his path. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, February from 10:00 until noon. The funeral will begin at noon and will be conducted by Rev. Ron Rasberry.
