Jack Lamar Howell went peacefully to his heavenly home on May 24th, 2023. Hearing the words to Jesus Loves me this I know comforted “Uncle” Jack, as he was affectionately called by his many nieces and nephews, as he met Jesus. Jack Howell was born in Atlanta, Georgia to A.J. Howell and Mary Jane Howell Wall and lived to 85 years old. He was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and served in the Unites States Air Force. His one love was playing the organ and loved to remember his younger years of playing in the First Baptist Church in downtown Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sisters Beth Perry (Boyd Perry) & Jaye McLindon (Chris McLindon) as well as his Nieces and Nephews: Angie Perry Balsam (Toby Balsam), Andrew Perry, Mathew McLindon, and Amanda Southhall (Chris). A private graveside service is being held at a later date.
