A resident of Zachary, LA she died on December 6, 2011 at the Butterfly Wing of the Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was 80 years old and a native of Baton Rouge. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lucille D. Crawford; her father, Robert Baxter Crawford; her husband Jerome C. “Jay” LaCour, to whom she was married for 42 years. She is survived by two sons and their spouses, John Jay LaCour and Lisa R. LaCour of Zachary and Dr. James M. LaCour and Hypatia G. LaCour of Slaughter; two grandchildren, Victoria Elizabeth LaCour and Michael Joseph LaCour; two step-grandchildren, Christopher Harlan and Barbara Harlan Ross. Also survived by one sister, Marion L. Spann and a brother-in-law, Delroy Spann; a nephew, Baxter Spann, spouse Patricia Spann and their daughters Whitney Spann and Kelsey Spann of Texas. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 5pm to 9pm and continuing on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 9:30am until time of services at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
