A resident of Pierre Part and a native of Greenville, MS, he died on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at his daughter's home in Denham Springs. He was 79, and was a retired chemist and chemical engineer with Ormet Corporation with more than 42 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served as a pilot on KC97 Refuelers. Willie was a graduate of Southwestern Louisiana Institute. He was a member of the Arnold Air Society at SLI, a member of Sigma Pi at SLI, and, professionally, was a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., from 4pm until 8pm, and will resume on Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., at 9am and will continue until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am, celebrated by Rev. Clarence Waguespack. Interment will follow at RoselawnMemorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Baier LeBlanc Williams of Pierre Part; his daughter, Mary Jane Williams Bohac and her husband James of Denham Springs; and his sons: Gerald M. Williams, Jr. and his wife Lori of Tampa, FL; and Henry George Williams and his wife Missy of Watson. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Nikki Broussard and her fiancé Terry Hicks of Baton Rouge, Katie Williams and her fiancé Shane Guylette of Watson, Kennon Williams of Baton Rouge, Austin Williams of Watson, and Micheal and Dereck Regano of Tampa, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and by his brothers: Donald Williams and his wife Margie of Lake Jackson, AR; Billy Williams and his wife Helen of St. Francisville; and Douglas Williams and his wife Sandy of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Lawrence and Hattie Jane Williams; sister, Bonnie Williams Langford; and grandson, Richard Marbre Bohac. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Tommy Temple, Brian Williams, Terry Hicks, Shane Guylette, Stephen Dupuy, James Bohac, James Domma, and Barry E. Langford. Special thanks are expressed to Dr. William Cassidy, Dr. Frank Alvarez, and Dr. Vincent Cataldo and their respective staffs; and also to the staff of Cardinal Hospice for their attentive and compassionate care.
