Gail Currier Hodges

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 28, 2010. She was 66 and a resident of Baton Rouge. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 48 years, Wayne Hodges; daughters, Julie Darlene Hodges Roe and husband Ronald Wayne Roe Jr., Stacy Denise Hodges Wells and husband Donald Edward Wells Jr., and Kimberly Ann Hodges Law and husband Charles F. Law; six grandchildren, Joshua McQueen, Amanda Neames, Meggan Hodge, Brandon Neames, Christopher Bourgeois and Victoria Wells; three great-grandchildren, Kaylyn Kimball, Makeia Briggs and Landon Neames; and brother, Charles P Currier Jr. Preceded in death by her father, the Rev. C.P. Currier; and mother, Margaret L. Currier. The family would like to express their special thanks to St Joseph Hospice nurse Heather Petit, and Ursula Heard for their loving care over the past several months, as well as to the medical staff at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Friday, April 30, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until funeral service at noon, conducted by Jay Coleman, pastor.
