Fred Michael "Mickey" Cain, Sr.A native of Baton Rouge and resident of Central, passed away from this life on Christmas Day at the age of 63. He was a 1970 graduate of Glen Oaks Senior High School and the owner of Cain's Heating and Air. Mickey was a lover of life and enjoyed music, his work, playing the slot and video poker machines, gardening (although his thumb was not very green), and riding the "Sea Screamer" ("riding the big yellow boat" in Panama City, FL) . He was a very giving man always claiming that he was a "giver and not a taker". Mickey always stayed busy doing things such a playing in a band called the "White Horse Band" in High School, restoring a classic Dodge Charger replicating the "General Lee" with his son, and helping his children using his gifts as a "jack of all trades". He had a great sense of humor and had the reputation of "telling it like it is". Spending time with his wife, children, playing with his grandchildren, and playing with his dogs were very important to him. He is greatly loved and will be dearly missed.He is survived by his junior high school sweetheart and wife of 42 years along with six years of courtship to Suzanne "Sue" Cain; children Dawn Bueche (fiancé Vincent Ward) of Central, Mike Cain (fiancé Whitney Cummings) of Walker, Shara Hyndman (husband David Hyndman) of Central; grandchildren Skylar Bueche, Blane Bueche, (father Rod Bueche), Andrew Ward, Alaina Ward, Alex Ward, Gavin Cain, Sam Hyndman, Ross Hyndman; dogs, Guitar, Mako, and Dummy D.He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Dorothy Cain; and sister Virginia Lemoine.Visitation will be on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802) from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 2:30 PM officiated by Rev. Garlin Mizell.
