She gained her Crown and Wings as she left for her Heavenly home while surrounded by family.
Elizabeth, also known as “Priss” or “Liz” was a former resident of Watson and Baton Rouge, LA, lastly residing in Walker, LA. She was a graduate of Istrouma High School; she briefly worked for Meals on Wheels, eventually retiring as a Legal Specialist for EBR City Court.
Liz loved going dancing, playing games and spent countless hours working in her yard.
She dedicated her life to making sure her children and grandchildren had amazing memories that they will always cherish.
Her goal in life was to make things a little easier for everyone around her.
Our precious momma/grandmother’s earthly journey is now over. She completed it with Divine Grace. Through her Grace, family and friends were led to know God. Through God’s grace we are forgiven. She truly believed she was blessed.
Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his Promise to her. Luke 1:45
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Alisa Sanders Jones (husband Robbie) of Prairieville ; son, Robert Warren Sanders, Jr. (wife Laura) of Watson; grandchildren, Tara Sanders, Britnee Jones Straub (husband, Darren), Tiffany Sanders James (husband, Shane), Samantha Sanders (Dexter Shirah), Ashley Jones, Mark Sanders (Hannah Achord); great grandchildren, Lukas and Lanie Straub, Gracie and Paxton Shirah, Gabriel James; niece, Wanda Cockerham; nephews, Kendal and Jason Nawadny.
Preceded in death by mother, ML Pickering Nawadny; father, Arthur “Duckie” Nawadny; brother, Danny Nawadny; aunts, Monell Pickering, Polly Anna Dolhonde.
Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst East Chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., B.R., Saturday, December 10th 10am-12pm with services to follow. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
