Clifton Joseph LeBlanc passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the age of 90. He was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge and a member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church. He retired from Baton Rouge Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #21 after 36 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in World War II. Clifton was a generous benefactor of the poor and faithful servant of God. He is survived by his brother, Francis Donald LeBlanc of Baton Rouge, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Leon LeBlanc, Sr. and Aline Mire LeBlanc; sisters Marjorie Mautner and husband Bill, Genevieve Garrett and husband Fritz, Rosemary Tuminello and husband Roy, Dorothy LeBlanc; brothers Wilton LeBlanc, Arthur Leon LeBlanc, Jr. and wife Audrey, Russell LeBlanc and Earl LeBlanc. Also, preceded in death by his beloved friend, Bessie Burton. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12 noon. Services will immediately follow, conducted by Father Phil Spano, also at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA immediately after conclusion of services. Pallbearers will be Clifton’s nephews. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center or your favorite charity is requested in celebration of the life of Clifton. Special thanks to all family, medical staff and caregivers at Ollie Steele Burden Manor Nursing Home who provided unending love and assistance to Clifton.
