Cleo departed from this life to be with her Heavenly Father at the age of 98 on May 8, 2021 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice following an illness lasting several months. She was born and grew up in Bude, Mississippi. She resided in Monroe, Louisiana for 30 years. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Louisiana Industries in Monroe from 1968 until she retired in 1988. After having previously lived in Baton Rouge for a number of years, she returned to live there in 1997. For the past nine years she lived at Williamsburg Senior Living Community. Cleo was an avid dog lover, and was especially fond of her "granddog" Oscar. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 11 from 12:30 pm until religious services at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her son, Joel D. Williams and his partner, Casey Savant; and a sister, Edith Goetzmann, all of Baton Rouge, and various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Edward (Ed) Williams; parents, Grady and Pearl Dulin; brother, Jimmy Dulin; and sisters, Bobbie Zumbro and Doris Miller.
