Catherine Culpepper Jones

Catherine is survived by her four children, Doug Jones (Judy), Kirk Jones (Karen), Beth Taylor (Robert), and Kenny Jones (Janice). Her memory will live on through her eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Kirkland Jones, Jr.; her parents, Leon and Beulah Culpepper; her sister, Bernadine Frascogna (Frank); and her brother, William Culpepper (Francis).

Widowed at a young age with four teenage children, Catherine was a pillar of strength and resilience. She dedicated her life to ensuring her children were well cared for and provided with everything they needed. Catherine had a wide range of interests and talents. She enjoyed painting, traveling, cooking, sewing, playing dominoes and cards, and decorating. She was also a loyal fan of the LSU Tigers.

Her passion for painting blossomed later in life, and she became an accomplished artist. She treasured sharing her work with family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and love.

A private graveside service will be held on December 2, 2024, at Greenoaks Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
