Carolyn Patrick Boyet

Born: October 15, 1939 in Rosedale, Louisiana; Died: April 20, 2017 in Baton Rouge following a short illness.

Survived by 4 daughters: Janyce Boyet and Caryl Danielle Boyet of Baton Rouge; Karen (Gene) Boyet Ferland of Kansas City, Missouri and Sharon (Jake) Boyet Staffel of Houston, Texas. Two sisters: Maureen (Joseph) Patrick Pitre and Geradette Patrick. Three grandchildren: Grant Patrick Ferland, Jacob Patrick Staffel, and Abigail Patricia Staffel as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Thomas E. Patrick and Golda Reulet Patrick.

She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1957 and Louisiana State University in 1960. She married in January 1961 and moved to Ringgold, Louisiana where she lived and was an elementary school teacher for over 20 years. While living in Ringgold, she was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and The Ringgold Women’s Club. In the early 80’s she moved back to the Baton Rouge area.

Most recently, she was a resident at Heritage Manor in Baton Rouge where she enjoyed many of the activities offered.

The family expresses sincere thanks to the staff at Heritage Manor and to Life Source Hospice for providing comfort to all during her final days.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., Baton Rouge, LA, from 9:00AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her name to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, P.O. Box 45830, Baton Rouge, La. 70895 which was impacted by the 2016 floods, or to a charity of your choice.
