Billy M Pettigrew

On January 12, 2023, Billy Pettigrew age 86, passed away after a heroic battle with cancer. Billy was born in Eden, Mississippi and served in the U.S. Army then worked as a conductor on the Illinois Central Railroad. He enjoyed bargain shopping, making biscuits, dancing, caring for stray animals. and watching his beloved grandchildren. Billy is survived by a son, Merrell Pettigrew; two daughters, Belinda Juneau (Marty) and Pamela Bertucci (Gino); grandchildren; Jake and Trey Pettigrew, Ashley Harris (Joey) and Brett Juneau, Isabella Bertucci; great grandchild, Nora Harris and sister Ruby Rushing (Bill). He was preceded in death by Barbara Pettigrew, his loving wife of 57 years; his parents Mable and John Wesley Pettigrew; sister Mable Jamison (Curtis) and infant brother William Pettigrew. Pallbearers will be Jake and Trey Pettigrew, Marty and Brett Juneau, Gino Bertucci and Joey Harris. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 10am - 12pm with a funeral service to begin at 12:00 noon at Greenoaks Funeral Home.
