Ann Denise “Dede” LeBlanc, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Thursday, June 23rd at the age of 70. Denise graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1969 and attended Spencer Business College. She previously worked as a company buyer for I.L.Lyons & Company and McKesson Wholesale and worked the last 20 years at her alma mater, St. Joseph’s Academy, as an accountant/bookkeeper.
A woman of deep faith, she blessed all who knew her with her kind and generous heart. She always thought of those less fortunate, whether it was handing out McDonald’s gift cards to strangers at a red light, braiding mats for the homeless from plastic bags, crocheting hats and scarves for the shelters during the winter, or crocheting baby blankets for mothers in need. She was an amazing Aunt to her 15 nieces and nephews, 22 great nieces and nephews and 6 great, great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Glynn and Gloria LeBlanc. Survived by her siblings Darrel LeBlanc (Melinda), Denette LeBlanc Baudry, Donna LeBlanc Bales (Bruce), Diane LeBlanc and Dana LeBlanc Stringer, she will be greatly missed.
A memorial celebration will be held at Greenoaks Celebration of Life Center at 9595 Florida Boulevard in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Saturday, July 16th, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
