Andrew F. Whitehead, a native of Yazoo City, MS and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Landmark of Baton Rouge at the age of 87. He was a 1946 graduate of Poydras High School, a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War and the owner of Industrial Hardware and Supplies for over 20 years. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents James A. Whitehead and Birdie Belle Whitehead; also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Andrew is survived by his wife of sixty years, Shirley Mayers Whitehead; three sons, Scott Whitehead, Mark Whitehead and his wife Sandy, Neal Whitehead; three granddaughters, Courtney, Devin and Reagan Whitehead; brother, Jack K. Whitehead, Sr.; sister, Linda Babin; numerous nieces and nephews. As per Andrew's wishes, he will be cremated and only a graveside service for his family.
