Jewell was born on July 29, 1918 in Beaumont Texas to Michael Alexander Schuelke and Emma McDuff.
She is preceded in death by husband, Robert A. Barker, parents Michael Alexander Schuelke Sr., and Emma McDuff Schuelke, brothers, Mike Schuelke Jr. and Richard “Bubba” Schuelke, and sisters Pauline Barker and Bertha Engvall. She is survived by sisters Bessie Edwards and Ivy Schindler both of San Antonio.
The visitation will be held at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home, 505 Old Austin Highway, Bastrop, Texas on February 7, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will be held on February 8, 2014, at 10:00 am at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home, 505 Old Austin Hwy., Bastrop, Texas. Burial to follow at Fair View Cemetery, 1409 Hwy. 95 North in Bastrop, Texas.
