Allen Williams Stovall

Allen Williams "Bill" Stovall, 84, of Bassett, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Bill is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Dawn Stovall Edwards, and his grandson, Ethan Cole Edwards. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Stovall, and his mother, Nannie Williams Stovall; his siblings, sister, Clara Polley; brother, Rollins Stovall; sister, Hattie Stovall; sister, Viola Ramsey; sister, Ellen Smith; sister, Eldean Yowell; sister, Leslie Stovall; sister, Elizabeth Stovall. Bill was a member of the Martinsville Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - day Saints in Bassett, Va. Bill loved farming, mechanical work (cars and trucks), being outside, and chainsaw racing competitions. He was a master knife sharpener. He loved his daughter and grandson. He also loved being with his church family, The family will receive visitors at The Martinsville Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Monday, June 3rd, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the church on Tuesday, June 4th, at 6:00 PM. Bill will be laid to rest at a future date in Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Bassett, Virginia 24055.
