Sherry Marie Muir

Sherry M. Muir, 85, of Peoria, passed away at 7:35 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at her residence. She was born on March 9, 1936, in Peoria to Lester F. and Lottie (Shilling) White. She married Herbert H. Muir on September 1, 1956, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2013, in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Sherry is survived by two sons, Timothy Muir of Orlando, FL and Todd (Joy) Muir of Mapleton; her Sister In Law and great friend, Lois Whitby of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a Dental Assistant for many years in Peoria, retiring in 1998. She loved her husband, Herbert and her family. She enjoyed gathering her family into her home for holidays. She loved beagles and enjoyed caring for the many beagles in her life, including her sweet companion beagle, Miranda, whom she loved dearly. She and Daughter in Law, Joy, loved each other’s company and spent every Friday evening together.
