He was born August 9, 1944 in Odessa, TX to Oliver and Ruby (Linder) Saeger. He married Vicki Bishop on August 28, 1966 in Monmouth, IL. She survives along with three sons: Dustin (Saka) Saeger of Colorado Springs, CO, Jeffery (Michelle) Saeger of Lakewood, CO, Brian Saeger of Boulder, CO, three grandchildren: Elliott, Cora, and Hazel Saeger all of Colorado, and one brother, Paul (Jennifer) Saeger of Springfield, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Brenda Scheff.
Michael worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 32 years retiring in 1996. He then started Saeger Works Home Improvement which he operated for about 14 years.
He was a United States Air Force veteran.
Michael also was a member of the Hanna City Presbyterian Church where services will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will be from 1:30 till time of services at 3:30 at the church. Pastor David Keithley will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Child Evangelical Fellowship (CEF), or to the Hanna City Presbyterian Church.
