Mapleton – Keith Edward “Kip” Miller, 52 of Mapleton, formerly of Bartonville, passed away at 7:24 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 8, 1968 in Peoria, a son of Carl Edward and Norma Lou (Bridges) Miller. He married Cynthia “Cindy” Hinkle on November 13, 2015 in Peoria. She survives.
Kip is also survived by his son, Gage Edward Miller of Bartonville; step-daughter, Kali Elizabeth (Taylor) Huber of Morton; father, Carl (Billie) Miller of Spring Bay; brother, William Bradley (Cindy) Miller of Canton; nephew, Bradley Miller of Canton; uncle, Tom Miller of Creve Coeur; and cousins, Robyn Miller of Creve Coeur and Daryn Miller of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his mother; paternal grandparents, Howard and Mildred Miller; and maternal grandparents, Byron and Mary Bridges.
Kip worked as a forestry foreman for Spoon Valley Electric in Canton for many years.
He attended Northwoods Community Church in Peoria. Kip loved hunting, all sports, especially baseball and softball, working out, and most of all spending time with his family.
Kip’s celebration of life gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2021 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. There will be no service. Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Illinois CancerCare in Peoria or OSF Hospice.
