Gladys Mae Hyde

She was born on February 6, 1941, in Havana to Francis and Dorothy (Ruggles) Evans. She married Dan Hyde on September 23, 1967, and he preceded her in death.

Gladys was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Judith Hilton; half-sister, Deborah Pusey; nieces, Lori Grove, Deanna Pusey and Tammy Castagnoli; numerous nieces and nephews of the Hyde family; and her beloved cat, Molly.

Gladys worked as an administrative assistant for the State of Illinois until her retirement.

She attended Twin Oaks Missionary Baptist Church in East Peoria. She was also a member of the D.A.R and a co-administer for the Canton Senior High Class of 1959 website.

Gladys had a fond interest in genealogy and her class reunions and she was an enormous cat lover.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will immediately follow at Princeville Cemetery.
