He was born November 14, 1952 in Peoria to Merle Lee and Donna Mae (Edwards) Wolford. Daniel married Jeanne Duckworth on March 25, 1989 in Hanna City, she survives.
Daniel is also survived by his daughters, Candy (Chad) Johnson, Heather (Lanny) Rhoades, Daniell Wolford and Laura Wolford; nine grandchildren; one sister, Sandy (Dale) Vogel; three brothers, Scott (Deb) Wolford, Lloyd Wolford and Bill (Kathy) Wolford.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Daniel's career was as diverse as it was distinguished. He began his working life at Ben Schwartz Food Mart and Hunt's Family Restaurant. He then contributed his efforts to Coon's Filling Station and Sealtest Ice Cream Factory before embarking on a significant career of 42 years at Caterpillar, Inc., where he began his career as a laborer before retiring as a Logistics Analyst and Master Scheduler in 2014.
In addition, Daniel served his community as a part-time police officer from 1974 to 1988 at local departments. His commitment to public service was a testament to his character and values.
Beyond his professional life, Daniel was an avid lover of the great outdoors.
A visitation will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 9 - 11 a.m. at Hanna City Presbyterian Church, Hanna City, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. Pastor David Keithley will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made in Daniel's name to Hanna City Presbyterian Church or the Logan / Trivoli Fire Department.
