She was born May 17, 1939 in Corvallis, OR to John and Nola Fay (Parent) Noland. She married Raymond Wallace on October 5, 1968 in Peoria. He passed away May 27, 1989 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ellen Noland-Rashut, one brother-in-law, Bob Welter, and one son-in-law, John Burnett, Sr.
Survivors include three daughters: Diane (Ed Abner) Wallace of Creve Coeur, Kelle (Wally) Chicon of Bartonville, Janene (Chris Kniffin) Burnett of Creve Coeur, six grandchildren: Dustin (Joanna), Melissa, Samantha (Scott), Raelynn, Austin, Manuel (Gabriele), eight great-grandchildren: Haylynn, Harrison, Brookelynn, Daylynn, Brelynn, Bentley, Catalina, Owen, one sister, Doris Welter of Hawaii, and one brother, Keith (Cheri) Noland of New York.
Carol was a life-long member of Trinity- Presbyterian Church in Bartonville, IL where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. She was self-employed cleaning houses until 1999. Once she began her retirement she basked in the enjoyment of spending time with her beloved family. Regardless of what may have been going on in her life she always showed up for her loved ones. If she wasn’t out supporting her grandkids at an event, you could find her whipping up a delicious meal in the kitchen for the entire family. She was one of the craftiest people you could come by. She was an avid seamstress and loved making precious keepsakes for her family and friends. In her down time she loved to read and watch the Hallmark channel. She will be missed immensely and remembered through all of the cherished memories she has left behind.
Visitation will be Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Bartonville. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the services at church on Saturday.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
