Alice was born on March 15, 1938 in Peoria to Bob and Mary (Sheppard) Wiebler. She married Jack E. Potter in November 22, 1958. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2014. She is also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Surviving are her two sons, Greg (Penny) Potter of Sunset, Louisiana and Jeff (Ofelia) Potter of Naperville, IL; six grandchildren, Jacob, Alicia, Jeffrey, Nick, Marisa and Alexia; two great-grandchildren, Steven and Loralie; one brother, Wayne (Jacki) Wiebler of Trivoli, IL; one sister, Kathleen (Ken) Sahl of Hartford, WI; three sister-in-laws, Katherine, Gertrude and Phyllis and her nieces and nephews.
Alice was a school teacher for 40 years for St. John’s in Peoria and later for St. Vincent de Paul in Peoria. She was a member of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bartonville; she sang in the choir and ran the CCD program for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a very strong person with a quick wit.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 10am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bartonville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with a prayer service at 5pm as well as a half hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.
