Rebecca L. Pittman, 75, of Memphis, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016. She was a member of the Far Away Cherokee Organization. Mrs. Pittman was the widow of James E. “Sonny” Pittman and is survived by four daughters, Juanita Stark of Brighton, TN, Barbara Haynie of Drummonds, TN, Lisa Scronce of Memphis, TN and Melody Brown of Georgia; two sons, William “Butch” Pittman of Covington, TN and Jerry James Pittman of Memphis; seventeen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Paul and Billy Harris Thornton. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 28 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N.
