Preston Lafayette Eason of Fayette County passed away on Monday, June 29th, 2015. He was born July 2nd, 1926 at Leapwood in McNairy County, TN. He is survived by his wife Kathleen of 65 years, son Mike and daughter-in-law Diane of Fayette County, four grand-daughters; Michelle (David) Kuehner of Memphis, Maggie (Paul) Campbell of Fort Benning, Ga., Jessie (Brent) Hodgson of Morris Chapel and Kelly Eason of Memphis, five great-grand-daughters; Kristin and Stella Kuehner, Makenzie Campbell, Hannah Hodgson and Darcie Johnston, two great-grand-sons: Sebastian Campbell and Hunter Hodgson, two sisters; Lucille Wilson of Port Charlotte, Fl. and Charla Johnston of Memphis. He was a member of the Somerville Church of Christ and had previously served as an elder at the Mountain Terrace congregation in Memphis and the Lemon Bay congregation in Englewood, Fl. He was a WWII veteran who served in the 84th Infantry, 3rd Army in Europe. He had a long career starting in Tool & Die evolving to management of several manufacturing facilities in the Memphis area.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Monday, July 6 at Memphis Funeral Home located at 3700 N. Germantown Road. Visitation is from 12 pm until service time. Services to be officiated by Jimmy Moffett. Burial will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh LaGrange.
Pallbearers include: Terry Johnston, David Kuehner, Sgt. Paul Campbell, Brent Hodgson, Billy Gurley and Joey Gurley.
