She leaves behind her son Paul Selph (Peggy), 3 grandchildren Casey Rowland (Daniel), Christy Vargo (Jake) and John Selph (Kennedy) along with 9 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Longview Heights Baptist Church and at one time served as a Sunday morning greeter. Her beautiful smile brought joy to so many.
Peggy was a kind and generous lady who loved to spend time with her family and friends. Some of her favorite things to do included going shopping and to lunch with her granddaughters and playing cards with her friends; but perhaps her favorite thing to do was to go to lunch with her son, Paul, at The Neighborhood Grill in Olive Branch where everyone knew her by name.
She loved when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren would stop by for a visit and she always made sure to have ice cream, candy, or a coke to offer them upon their arrival.
She was a master seamstress and an amazing cook. Some of her specialties included her made-from-scratch biscuits, chocolate pies, potato salad and world famous cornbread dressing. She always brought a lemon icebox pie to family gatherings because it was her son, Paul’s, favorite.
Everyone in her family knew that there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them – they only had to ask. In this way, she reflected the love of her Heavenly Father to all around her.
While they will miss her greatly, they don’t grieve as those who have no hope because they know that when she left this life she went home to the arms of Jesus where she instantly became completely healthy and whole. They rejoice that they will one day all be reunited in heaven where they will feast together with their Father, Creator and Savior. “For the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to the springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes” Revelation 7:17.
All Glory to God for the life and legacy of Peggy Farrow Selph.
