He was born to the late Paul and Ilene Watson, Sr. on September 8th, 1932 in New Gulf, Texas. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Teddy Jo Cook. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years and retired. Mr. Watson was a pilot for FedEx and retired after 20 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Texas A&M. He was a faithful member of St. Ann Catholic Church, enjoyed golf, loved to fly, and always cheered for the New York Yankees.
Paul is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bernadette Watson; his children, Ellen Ambuehl (Ron), Nancy Watson, Teresa Carrigan, Paul Watson, III; his grandchildren, Kathleen, Patrick, Rebekah, Joshua, Seth, Nathan; great-grandchildren, Stella, Elizabeth, Aubrey, Layla, Kaden; and his brother, Jack Watson (Joann).
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
Family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Friday, February 11th at St. Ann Catholic Church, 6529 Stage Rd, Bartlett, TN. Mass will follow at 11:00am. Interment will be at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN.
