

Born on December 1, 1955, in Memphis, Tennessee, Mark was preceded in death by his father, Robert Samuel Woolfolk, and his mother, Joyce Culver Roberts. He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Woolfolk; his son, Samuel (Kelsey) Woolfolk; and his grandchildren, Cohen and Brighton.
Mark graduated from Kingsbury High School in 1973 and went on to earn an Associate Degree from State Tech. In 1977, he followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the Memphis Fire Department, where he dedicated 33 years of service, retiring in 2010 with the rank of Captain.
He met the love of his life, Donna, in 1973, and they married on July 20, 1978. Together, they built their home in 1988 with the help of Mark’s cousins. They welcomed their only child, Samuel, in 1993.
Mark enjoyed many hobbies, including water skiing at Heber Springs Lake, snow skiing in Vail, Colorado, and golfing with his friends. He cherished his time at the lake, camping, and riding the Seadoo with his son.
Above all, Mark was deeply devoted to his family. He had an immense love for his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He was known as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather (Papa). Mark was widely regarded as a kind and generous man who always helped those around him.
Mark’s family and friends will forever remember him as a loving and dependable presence in their lives.
Visitation for Mark will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.His funeral will also occur Friday, April 4, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.The graveside will be Friday, April 4, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133.
