Margaret Ann Proctor, 92, of Arlington TN passed away the morning of June 3, 2021. Her husband and children were nearby when she drifted off to be with the Lord. She was born to the late Fred and Anna Lee Leech in Booneville, MS, on 14 June 1928.
Ann is survived by her husband, Isaac Horace Proctor (Arlington, TN), her sister, Gayle Cooper (Merritt Island, FL) her two sons Dr. Fred Proctor (Dawson, AL) and Morris Proctor, (Bartlett, TN), their wives Debra and Scherry, three grandchildren (Teresa, Tracy, and Benjamin), two step grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two nieces, and one nephew.
Ann graduated from Meridian High School in Meridian MS, and attended East Central Junior College in Decatur, MS, where she played girls basketball and first met Horace who became her loving husband for 72 years.
Ann was member of Graceland Baptist Church in Whitehaven, TN, and later became a member of Brunswick Baptist Church after moving to Arlington in 1993. Ann had been a resident of the Memphis area for most of the past 71 years.
Ann was a kind and loving woman who devoted her life to her husband, family, and the Lord. She loved to sing in the church choir and teach Sunday school. Ann will always be remembered as a loving grandmother, wonderful mother, and devoted wife.
Visitation and funeral will take place at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 8 June 2021, at 1 PM, and funeral will follow at 2 PM. A reception will be held at 3PM in the funeral home.
