Laura Elizabeth Wood

Laura loved all of her family but had a special place in her heart for her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She loved God and her church. She was quick to smile and quick to hug. Her big orange cat, Stanley, brought her so much joy in recent years.

Her family is so thankful she is whole and has been delivered from the disease of Diabetes, from which she suffered most of her life. We rest, knowing she is with Jesus and reunited with her Daddy, whom she missed terribly.

Her father, Robert F. Wood, II, predeceased her. She leaves behind her mother Joann H. Wood, brother Robert F. Wood, III (Vicki), sisters Ruth E. Wood and Mary W. Langford (Jim), nephews Robert I. Wood (Natalie), Thomas E. Wood, Paul S. Langford (Abby), and Alexander R. Langford, nieces Grace L. Abney (K.C.) and Emily J. Langford. She also leaves behind her great nieces and great nephews and her cousins, whom she loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Evangelical Church, 9750 Wolf River Blvd., Germantown, TN, at 11:30 AM Thursday, August 17th.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Grace Evangelical Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
