Joyce Holland Matlock

Joyce Holland Matlock, age 90, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away January 24, 2021. She was born May 25, 1930 in Clark County, Mississippi to Forrest Holland and Nannie Merle Holland. She formerly worked for the University of Tennessee and John Gaston Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, M. E. Matlock; son, Eddie Matlock and three sisters, Katherine Love, Ruth Holland Howse, and Myrtle Holland.

She is survived by her children, Sandi White (Bob) and A. J. Tony Sarg; grandchildren, Chelsea Matlock, Shelby Matlock, Justus Sarg, and Katherine Sarg; and great-grandchildren, Lennon Sanders, Lucy Sarg, and Willow Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 31 from 4:00-6:00 PM and funeral services will be held on Monday, February 1 at 10:00 AM with interment to follow, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee 38133. The family requests any memorial donations be directed to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
