John W. Anderson

John was a family man. He loved to travel and went to every state but one. When he got to the beach he always loved to feed the seagulls which he affectionately called flying rats. He also was an avid reader.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace Anderson and his sisters, Johnnie May Goins and Jean Diffenbaugh.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Katherine Anderson; his sons, Mike Anderson (Susan), Mark Anderson (Jenni); his daughter, Karen Anderson (Jennafer); and his grandchildren, Ryan Anderson Mallory Sigler, Dr. Joshua Anderson, and Lauren Anderson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 30th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 2:00pm.
