Jimmy S. Combs, 78, went to be with Jesus on September 19, 2023. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Banton Alley and his son, Richard Keith Combs. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years Gaylene Combs; his daughters Kristy A. Combs of Oakland, TN and Rebekah C. Lemmons (Scott) of Collierville, TN. He also leaves two grandsons, Joshua Lemmons and Jonathan Lemmons and god-son Darron Dowell, Jr. of Boston MA. He also leaves behind many devoted family and friend.
Jimmy was a faithful member of Bartlett Baptist Church, and previously a member of National Avenue Baptist Church. Jimmy served his Lord well by helping many people and going on mission trips with Kingdom Builders and World Changers.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28th from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29th at 10:00. Both visitation and funeral service will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett TN 38133
