George "Bubba" Stone died peacefully on the morning of January 28. Born in Memphis on July 16, 1946, Bubba loved life from his start. He was a young horseman, hunter and fisherman. In his own words, he “married the prettiest girl at Bartlett High School”, started his family, then served in the Marine Corps Reserve. He was a lifelong car man, building his career and reputation on honesty and integrity. He should be remembered for the love he had for living. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Jamie Boston Stone and son Stephen. He was most proud of his daughter-in-law, Beth and grandson Boston Stone. Additionally, he leaves his beloved siblings, brother Gerald Billions, DDS,Ret. and his wife Barbara and sister Tena Ballard and her husband Steve of Pickwick. His numerous nieces and nephews enriched his life infinitely. Visitation will be at Memphis Funeral Home on Germantown Parkway, Saturday, February 2 at 5:00.
