Edward L. Whittington, 83 of Millington, Tn. died September 4, 2010 at Saint Francis Hospital Bartlett. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010. both will be at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Germantown Rd. Mr. Whittington was a retired millwright for international Harvester. He was a Mason and member at Cross Pointe Baptist Church where he served as a usher for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Margirette "Sweet Pea" Whittington and a son, Thomas Whittington. He his survived by "his girls" Joyce Whitehorn of Memphis. Melinda Ray of Memphis and Sonja Haack of Millington. Five Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
