Uncle Dave...where do I start? I have many fond memories of time spent with you starting with my first set set of stitches, which I got helping you and Bill fold up your cots, to the family taking a day trip out to CA to spend a day with you before you shipped off and you gave us those foil food rations, to what turned out to be your favorite “Greg” story to tell when you picked me up and tossed me over your shoulder after a long road trip to Texas for Bill & Rhonda’s wedding and I puked all over your back! I am glad me, Sam and the kids got to spend a little bit of time with you back in 2016 when we came out your way. I will always cherish my time spent with you and am proud and honored you were my uncle.  RIP Uncle Dave...We love you.

I only met David and Brenda once. It was for Bill and Rhonda’s wedding. I was their matron of honor and he was their best man. They were both kind and welcoming. God bless you all.

I had the privilege of working with Dave on several projects at the warehouse in Memphis.  His computer skills and work ethic made him a person you could rely on to get things done, but more striking than his skills, was his humility and kindness. 

I pray that the Lord will comfort Dave's family and friends, knowing that he is enjoying his eternal home.  Dave will be missed by me and all who have had the opportunity to know him.

I worked with Dave on multiple projects at the Memphis PDC where he worked.  Dave was working third shift inbound while the rack project was going on and was always ready to help out at a moment's notice whether it involved completing part moves, completing a change in the system or just to answer a question.  He was very committed to his work and I always knew that I could depend on him for the job to get done and well beyond expectations.   He was the go-to guy for anything that I had questions on in Memphis.  In the time I worked with Dave and got to know him, I found out that he cared deeply about his family, friends and country and I always held him in high regard.  We shared many of the same beliefs and views and he was a man that was well respected where he worked and he just had the kind of integrity and character that you know you could count on him to do as he said and he always did.  I was very saddened by the news of his passing, but I know that one day I will see him again.  RIP my friend.

David, thanks for letting me be a part of your family for thirty-one years and for being my friend for over thirty-nine years. Thank-you also for your Service to our country. Rest assured that we will take care of your family.


Gene and I remember playing  cards at the student center and rockin to REO Speedwagon.   What great times!! We love you, and were so blessed to have known you.

So David--this is me--your big sis--i want to share a fun memory--you and melody were always little imps..i will always remember the one night i came home from a date and the only time i was a few minutes past my curfew..you or melody (hmmmmm) knowing my fear of spiders put a big plastic one under my bed pillow (eeekkk) causing me to scream and wake dad up (thank you very much!!) well..guess who got in trouble!!!  There are so many memories and a heart full of them..i miss and love you so very much..i hope you knew how much..we will meet again one day until then take care of dad and all of the other loved ones..your loving sister..Diana
