Robert Crownover, a long-time resident of the Silver Valley area, died unexpectedly on October 3, 2015. He was 33 years old. He is survived by his wife of ten years, Eva Crownover, and their three children: Valeria, Janissa, and Kara. Robert was born to Donald and Cynthia Crownover on September 10, 1982, in Monterey, CA; the family moved to the high desert area when Robert was three years old. He is the second born of his siblings: Trish Kenyon from Hawaii, Robert Allen Gulley from Barstow, Krystal Crownover from Fullerton, and Daniel Crownover from Barstow. Robert had fourteen years of experience as a mechanic at the Yermo Annex and was currently the Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Supervisor for the M88 Hercules. He served his country through a 15-month deployment to Afghanistan as a civilian attached to a military unit. Spending time with his wife and three daughters was the joy of his life, and being a loving husband and dad was Rob’s greatest accomplishment and his lasting legacy. An 11:00 a.m. memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Faith Baptist Church of Cherokee Road in Newberry Springs, CA. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund for the continuing education of Robert’s daughters has been established. Funds can be sent payable to Arrowhead Christian Academy (4030 West Yorkshire Drive, Glendale, AZ 85308) with “Crownover Scholarship” in the memo.
