Louis Alphonse Robinson

Louis Alphonse Robinson, age 71, passed away suddenly at the Barrhead Healthcare Centre on October 11, 2017. He was born on December 31, 1945 in St. Paul, Alberta to Philip and Juliette (nee Journault) Robinson. On November 15, 1969 Louis married Lucille (nee Lord) Robinson and together, they have two sons. Louis and Lucille enjoyed travelling and had many memorable trips in their retirement travelling the world together. Some of his favourite pastimes involved playing ball, building and puttering in the garage and collecting antiques. Louis loved spending time with his four grandchildren, especially when they came for long visits and could be spoiled by their “Poppa Lou”. Pre-deceased by his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Lucille; sons, Clayton (Tracy), Curtis (JaeLyn); four grandchildren, Liam, Reagan, Charlie and Evangeline; seven younger siblings Marcel, Eva (Ken), Rosaire (Jeanne), Yvette, Lorraine (Barry), Wilfrid (PJ), and Angéle (Mark); and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, 5210-50 Street, Barrhead, Alberta. A Celebration of Life for Louis will be held following the service at the St. Anne’s Parish Hall the interment taking place at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Barrhead Healthcare Centre – Acute Care
