Leonora Mable Park

It is with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to Leonora (Nora) Park (nee Evans) on January 26, 2021 at the age of 93 years. Nora is survived by her children Clifford Park, Gary Park (Sylvie), Leona Thorogood (Kevin), grandchildren, Jennifer (nee Park) Fisher (Ryan), Jason Park (Leanne), Jared Thorogood, Chantelle (nee Thorogood) Schwenk (Dillin) and her great grand children Austin, Jorja, and Hogan Fisher, Damien and Gage Schwenk, Henrik, Rory and Adalyn Park and sister-in law Eleanora Park. Grammy or Auntie NoNo as she was affectionately called, also had numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, other family and neighborhood friends that she leaves. She was predeceased by her husband James (Jim) Park, parents George and Elsie Evans, Hugh and Leonora Park, her brother Fred Evans and Iris, niece Barbara Evans, brother-in-law Jack Park and son-in-law Neil Thorogood. Nora was born and raised in Glenister, got married and raised her family all within a mile. Later out of necessity she moved to Barrhead. She loved farm life which allowed her to stay at home providing for the biggest love of her life, children. It didn’t matter what age, whose or for how long, all kids were lovingly held in her arms, fed copious treats and reluctantly sent home. There was always a cup of coffee/tea, glass of iced tea and a bite to eat at her table for all who stopped. Services for Nora will be held later in the year when she can return to Glenister to rest with her family.
