Vegreville, AB. She had 3 children (Rick/Linda), (Tony, Christie) and
(Colette/Jim) with her 1st husband Paul Jullion (deceased). She married
Alan Ewart (deceased) in 1971 and added 6 beloved step children to her
family (Dan/Kari), (Neil/Lynne), (Judy), (Jean/Ted), (Leta/Ken), and
(Charles/Marina). A total of 16 grandchildren brought joy to her life followed
by no less than 23 great grandchildren (forgive me if my count is off - they
are still coming). Her greatest pleasure was having family come to visit and
we always felt loved and cared for in her presence.
Mom was predeceased by her parents Roy and Mabel Wilson, her brothers
Cliff, Jim, and Lloyd, and her grandson AJ Babb. She is also survived by
her sisters Gladys, Hazel, Elizabeth, Doris and Terry.
Fran was an accomplished seamstress who used her skills to clothe her
family as well as to make costumes for the figure skating club and school
functions for many years. She made wedding dresses, grad dresses, and
had a fabulous closet filled with her own handiwork. In her retirement she
took up painting and we all have beautiful watercolour and acrylic paintings
from her hand. She knitted (love those washcloths) and crocheted, canned
and baked, and always had a welcoming house and home. Her
accomplishments may sound old fashioned but her heart was pure and
strong and the warmth she shared with us all was powerful and lasting so I
guess we could all use a little “old-fashioned” touch i n our busy lives.
Mom - may you rest in peace.
