Carol McLean

On Sunday, January 11th 2015, Caroline Grace McLean passed away at the age of 79 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Ray of 61 years and son, Bruce (Joy) of Barrhead. She will always be fondly remembered by her grandchildren; Frances (Chad) of Edmonton, Michael (Fon) of Houston, Texas, David (Lisa) of Alberta Beach, Corey (Sarah) of Barrhead and Mark of Barrhead; and her precious great grandchildren; Kade, Hayden, Braxton and Mason.

Carol will also be forever in her siblings hearts; Shannon (Pete) Silbernagel, Sharon Smith, John (Darlene) Houlton, Barb (Bill) Benz, Joyce Peacock (Denny), Gordon Houlton and Kathy Hartman as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and countless family and dear friends.

Carol was predeceased by her son Brian; parents, Bill and Hazel, brother-in-laws, Norm Reynolds and Bob Hartman, sister-in-law, Shirley Littleton, niece, Brenda Benz, nephew, Brian Evans and great nephew Bill Lyster.

Carol’s generosity and stories will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her, and her zest for life will live on through all of her family and friends.

Memorial services will be held at the Barrhead United Church on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM with Rev. David Pype officiating. Donations are gratefully accepted to the Barrhead Health Care Centre or Alberta Cancer Foundation.
